I grew up in Alabama. We had all four seasons. Sometimes we even got snow! When I moved to New Orleans, we had the change of seasons but they were not quite as dramatic. It was mostly hot and muggy. Then I moved to Central Florida and later the Tampa area, and it was just hot and muggy most of the year. The seasons didn’t change that much. Back to Alabama and now in Delaware for 8 years, I’ve felt the change more and more, especially as I have aged, and had surgery on my knee and back.
But I still love the change of seasons. The change in Fall from Summer to Winter is the prettiest. The trees burst with colors, revealing their true nature. The Spring is the most comforting for me. The transition from the cold, dark gray that we dread most days to the bright sun and warming temperatures reminds me of new life, especially as the flowers begin to bloom and the birds once again sing and dance outside my window.Continue Reading …
